Astonishing Reasons to Love Flowers more

Who doesn’t like receiving flowers on a special occasion or setting the table with some fresh flowers? Flowers are one of the first things we think of in terms of decorating, congratulating, or celebrating milestones and events in our lives. As it turns out, fresh flowers also have the power to enhance our health. If you’re anything like me, just the sight of them can boost your mood, so finding out they’re good for my health only gives me more of a reason to order some fresh flowers.

Aside from their beauty, flowers can have different benefits to our health depending on their color. Each color has a different vibratory rate and in turn, their light waves stimulate different mood enhancing hormones. Here are a few of my favorites and how they instantly can affect my day.

The Bouqs _ Flower Power

Roses and tulips {Red}:

If you are lagging in your day, the color red will give you the spike of energy you’re looking for. With the longest wavelength and slowest vibratory rate, red stimulates the adrenal glands, releasing adrenaline and acting as a natural energy booster. It’s no wonder red is such a popular color for those speedy little sports cars. However, not everyone should go out and get a little red sports car to get an energy boost (although, how fun would that be?). Adding a vase of red roses to your table or some bright red tulips to your garden will do the trick.

Sunflowers and daylilies {yellow}:

On those days when you feel like you just can’t focus at work or you’re nodding off at your desk, adding little yellow to your day could help in a big way. Naturally, we tend to associate the color yellow with the sun. Putting some fresh cut sunflowers or some yellow daylilies in your workspace could brighten up your day. Yellow sends signals of alertness through our brain and helps us to feel more optimistic.

Succulents and of course leaves {Green}:

There is nothing more calming than spending a day in the sunshine surrounded by trees and green grass. Turns out, that isn’t just because of the fresh air and vitamin D. Green stimulates the nervous system, slowing your breathing and relaxing your whole body. I am a big fan of the succulent craze going on at the moment. They are the cutest addition to shelves, desks, and counters. Plus, now we know that they help us relax too! Seems like a win-win to me.

Forget me not and morning glories {blue}:

The color blue is my personal favorite. It always makes me feel good and sends out vibes of positivity. However, apparently, it isn’t just me getting those vibes. Blue inspires confidence and reduces worry and fear. Try sending a bouquet with some bright forget me not or morning glories to a friend with a big interview or important day coming up. It will help them to feel and do their best.
